Toyota Highlander Service Manual: Inspection
HINT: EC mirror stands for electrochromic mirror.
1. w/ EC mirror: INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY
(a) Inspect operation of the electrochromic inner rear view mirror.
- Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 6 and the battery's negative (-) lead to terminal 7.
- Attach black colored tape to the forward sensor to prevent it from sensing.
- Light up the mirror with an electric light, and check
that the mirror surface changes from bright to dark.
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.
