Toyota Highlander Service Manual: VVT sensor (3MZ-FE)

REPLACEMENT

HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see page 03-2 ).

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSY

2. REMOVE VVT SENSOR

REMOVE VVT SENSOR


(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.

(b) Remove the bolt and sensor.

3. INSTALL VVT SENSOR

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring. Install the O-ring onto the sensor.

(b) Install the sensor with the bolt.

Torque: 8.0 NVm (82 kgfVcm, 71 in.Vlbf) (c) Connect the sensor connector.

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSY (See page 14-24 )
