Occupant classification ECU


REPLACEMENT

HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. PRECAUTION (SEE PAGE 60-1 )

2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (SEE PAGE 60-1 )

3. REMOVE FRONT RH SEAT ASSY (SEE PAGE 72-1 1 (POWER SEAT) OR 72-19 (MANUAL SEAT))

4. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU


(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the occupant classification ECU.

(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the occupant classification ECU.

5. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

(a) Check that the ignition switch is off.

(b) Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

CAUTION: After removing the terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

(c) Install the occupant classification ECU.

(d) Connect the 2 connectors to the occupant classification ECU.

NOTICE:

6. INSTALL FRONT RH SEAT ASSY (SEE PAGE 72-1 1 (POWER SEAT) OR 72-19 (MANUAL SEAT))

7. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE PAGE 05-1207 )
